Post Camino

Fisterra

Today has been so lovely. We have had the most relaxed day wandering and meandering and absorbing all in Fisterra - a beautiful village and surrounds at the end of the world.

We wandered down to the port again in the morning. A gentle cloudy morning...

...and watched locals fishing. They were using long light rods with light line and very small stinkers. One man used what looked to be small live shrimps for bait but this fisherman showed us his bait and it looked like a cross between worms and millipedes - a black wriggling mass in a small box.
He showed us his catch... he kept even this little fish that he caught while we were with him.

In the afternoon we walked to Praia Mar de Fóra on the ocean side of Fisterra and paddled in the Atlantic Ocean. A post-Camino treat for our feet that had served us so well - such fabulous fun.

And later, just as we did in León and Santiago, we went for a 'train' ride. It was called Tourist Train KM 0. What we didn't realise was it went out to the lighthouse so there we were on our way back to Cape Finisterre - and again, we had so much fun.

We thoroughly enjoyed listening to this musician playing beautiful haunting tunes - perfect for such a special place.
