Day 3

Roncesvalles to Viskarret - 12 kms

We were woken at Roncesvalles at 6 am when the dormitory lights were turned on and piped music started. A shared breakfast was served in Hotel Roncesvalles where we had the communal dinner last night then we set off in the cool of a heavy frost but the sun soon rose and the day has been glorious. Such a beautiful walk going through trees and the small villages of Burguete and Espinal and we have stopped for the day at Viskarret. We're staying the night in Pensión EL-LA in the heart of this very small village. Everything seems so magical.

Look girls, a real Pappy house. Its timbers are rotten and it needs painting but Pappy has lots of firewood so he won't get cold
